Structure and program
The Digital Transformation Training is modular, and we offer four different modules, each with its own theme: Strategy, Technology, Organization and Leadership.
We adapt the composition, number and order of modules based on the wishes of the management teams and the unique situation and starting point.
Each module consists of individual work (for which a digital learning platform is provided), local discussions in each management team and a gathering for all participating management teams of one day duration. Each gathering is followed up by work in your own management team, where the most important learning points are collected, and priorities are made for how the team wants to work further with the module's themes.
As a starting point, we recommend that the training contains all 4 modules and is completed over one year, with approx. 3 months for each module.
This module works with the importance of the digital and technological development for the organization's future basis of existence, its relationships with customers / citizens and partners. Participants are introduced to the development and the strategic implications as well as the opportunities to lead the development rather than be controlled by it. It is discussed both in the individual management team and across the teams how the development should be reflected strategically in their own organization.
This module works on how the organization's current and future possibilities depend on the choices made, or the once being made, about technologies, IT platforms and data management. The participants get among other things an understanding of IT architecture and infrastructure and is thus equipped to be able to assess the connection between strategic ambitions and decisions about technology, IT, and data. Further, the specific contexts in one's own organization are discussed in the management teams and across.
This module works with the importance of organizing the work, the relationship with and frames for the employees, so that they are constantly harmonized with the digital visions and ambitions, and the expectations from and to the employees. Participants gain insight into how strategic ambitions and decisions about technology, IT, and data require change for the organization and employees, including, among other things, the need for developing digital mindset at different levels, innovative practice and agile mindset and methods.
This module works with the competencies that the managers themselves, in addition to general management competencies, must master in an increasingly digital and technological environment with the associated diversity of realities and uncertainty. Participants are introduced to, and discuss, what it takes of themselves and their leadership to lead the organization's digital transformation. Further, the participants will share experiences and discuss approaches to leading in relation to the many new bottom lines and making the transformation meaningful for the employees and other stakeholders.
Each module consists of three steps:
1) Preparation: a common understanding
- Independent work with theory and cases (on a learning platform, see below)
- Group work around a given challenge that aims to inspire and challenge the management team
2) Gathering: current starting point
- Full day program for all the management teams, where there is an alternation between conceptual presentations, cases and facilitated dialogue and knowledge sharing
- Mapping and working with the starting point of one's own organization, including barriers and opportunities
3) Follow-up: further efforts
- Input or advice from case or partner
- The management team works locally to determine their own level of ambition and discuss initiatives in the short and long term in relation to the module's theme
The division into these steps is intended to help the participants to continuously link the conceptual content to the work with digital transformation in their own organization and practice.
To support and structure the independent and local work, the participants have access to a learning platform with videos, podcasts, literature, exercises, etc. Here it is also possible to follow their own progression and continuously access the material from the gatherings.
Before and during the program, the participants take self-evaluation tests and map their own organization's digital maturity and capabilities for digital transformation. The results are anonymous, but the aggregated anonymized results are included in the program.
