Structure and Program

Masterclass is structured in three modules, each module consisting of two consecutive course days with physical attendance. The education is composed of speeches, plenary debates, group work, and individual reflection.

MODULE 1 - DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION - CHANGES, NEW BUSINESS MODELS, AND NEW STRATEGIES

The first module creates insight into and understanding of Digital Transformation and what it places on requirements for organizations and companies. It looks at the most important technological and digital trends and the changes they bring to the competitive landscape, to the customers and to the organization of the company. In particular, the module goes deeply into how organizations increase their digital maturity, how they can use development to transform strategies and business models, and finally what skills are essential to build / develop for the company to perform well in the digital transition and meet market expectations in the short and long term. The module includes a visit from a company that for several years has worked with digitally transforming the organization and in this connection, among other things, changed its business models, service offerings, and organization.

MODULE 2 - BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT WITH TECHNOLOGY AND DATA

The second module follows up on the understanding of Digital Transformation and the implications for strategy and business models, with a focus on the changes and opportunities that the technological development provides for the rethinking of services and products, IT platforms, and collaboration with and about IT. The module also focuses on how data can be used for business development and how the work with data can be organized to create the value that is desired. This module includes cases from companies working to create data-driven innovations as well as visits by a leading IT director, who talks about how and why the collaboration between IT and the rest of the organization is central to digital transformation and how it can be practiced and led. 

MODULE 3 - ORGANIZATIONAL AND MANAGEMENT COMPETENCES

The third module addresses the question of how an organization is set up and how the work with digital maturation can be organized - and which organizational and managerial competencies are central to this. The module focuses on how Digital Transformation can be organized, what it requires of employees and the workplace, how to work with development of competences, and how to challenge existing business models and creating radical innovation. This module includes a visit of a director from a Danish company, who presents how he or she works to change his or her own organization and employees. And how to initiate and maintain the transformation.
